We are witnessing unprecedented levels of extreme whether events across the world—heatwaves, floods, wildfires, droughts, food shortages and deaths.
According to the Global Climate Index Report released in 2021, over 475, 000 people lost their lives between 2000-2019 from global events as a direct result of more than 11 000 extreme weather events globally and losses amounted to around US$ 2.56 trillion
As a global citizen, you need to speak up, and encourage others to join in the conversation.
And that’s what the Climate Conversation Series is all about. The program is designed with you in mind and is hosted once every month to give you the platform to interact with other individuals including students, practitioners, policymakers, and advocates; share your opinion and bring new perspectives to the climate conversation and the actions we need to take such as demanding accountability from those who oversee our society.
