With over ten years of experience across the private and public sector, Taljinder Shergill is the Program Coordinator for Aegis Council. In her role, she supports program development and project management, and anchors the external relations of the organization. Before her current role, she worked as the Program Officer for the Middle East Nonviolence and Democracy in Jerusalem.

She combines motivation and brilliant understanding of world affairs to investigate inequalities, trends in international development, human rights, and conflict analysis. Taljinder holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom with specialization in human rights, the rise of China and Middle East Politics.

Taljinder also holds an undergraduate degree in International Development Studies from York University, Canada.  She is a certified English teacher with the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA Cambridge) from the University of Cambridge.
